The wax: Natural soy- clean-burning, no paraffin. Slower and cooler than conventional wax, which means the lavender essential oil diffuses gently and consistently rather than burning off quickly. The quality of the aroma across the full burn is the result of this.
The scent: Lavender essential oil- floral, herbaceous, slightly camphorous. The scent of a French lavender field in late June, of the linen cupboard in an old house, of something both familiar and deeply calming.
The ritual: Light twenty minutes before you intend to sleep. Dim all other lights. No screens in the same room if you can manage it. Breathe slowly. Allow the nervous system to receive what the plant is offering.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn. Allow the wax to reach a full melt pool on the first burn as this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the full life of the candle. Never burn for more than four hours at a time. Always burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
A NOTE FROM THE APOTHECARY:
The name Moonroot comes from an old folk name for plants associated with the moon and with the nigh...roots that work in darkness, that nourish what grows unseen. Rest is this kind of medicine. The body's most essential repair work, happening exactly where you cannot watch it.
