What better way to tap into our Venusian Friday energies than to whip up some sweet rose syrup to add to our treats and beverages? This is a super easy recipe that doesn't even take too long at all!
Recipe:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1-2 fresh, washed rose heads (ensure yours are free from chemicals!)
- 2-4 dried hibiscus petals
How To:
- Add your sugar and water to a saucepan and warm until the sugar is dissolved.
- Take your petals from the rose and the hibiscus petals and add to the sugar water. Let the mixture simmer on a low heat for around 15-20 mins. It's best to keep a close eye on it to avoid it from getting too thick.
- Once the mixture looks bubbly and the colour is a rosy pink, take off the heat and leave to cool slightly.
- Strain into your bottle of choice and enjoy!
You can add the syrup to anything you like, from teas, drinks, desserts and so on! Add some Venusian glamour to your eating/drinking rituals!
